Social Science Research Assistant (Work‑Study)

About the role

The State of Georgia, in partnership with Chattahoochee Technical College, seeks a motivated Work‑Study student to lead an independent, non‑invasive social science research project that supports fellow students. This part‑time position offers practical experience in research design, data collection, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive literature review related to the research topic.
• Design and develop surveys or interview protocols.
• Collect and analyze data using appropriate qualitative or quantitative methods.
• Prepare written reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with faculty and peers while maintaining organized project documentation.

Required profile

• Current enrollment at Chattahoochee Technical College with good academic standing.
• Completion of the FAFSA and demonstration of financial need.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or eligible non‑citizen status.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong organizational and filing skills.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $12.00.
• Maximum of 19 work hours per week.
