About the role
This part‑time position supports adult learners at Athens Technical College by delivering ABE/HSE instruction and helping participants achieve their educational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Identify student goals and design appropriate programs.
- Conduct reading, mathematics, and language assessments to determine strengths and weaknesses.
- Develop individualized study plans for each participant.
- Plan and deliver comprehensive adult‑education instruction using curriculum guides.
- Create lessons that promote higher‑order thinking skills.
- Monitor student progress and adjust individualized plans as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business Education, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree.
- Understanding of adult‑education systems within the Technical College System of Georgia.
