Paralegal – Insurance Defense Law Firm

About the role

We are a growing law firm specializing in insurance defense, seeking a proactive Paralegal to support our attorneys in New Orleans or Baton Rouge. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring case files are meticulously organized.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with drafting, organizing, and filing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
• Coordinate and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up‑to‑date and easily accessible.
• Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents and client communications.
• Prepare materials and logistics for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Proactive attitude and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience supporting attorneys in an insurance defense or litigation setting.
