Paralegal – Commercial Legal Assistant

About the role

Heil Law Firm, a growing Texas‑based practice, is looking for an internationally trained attorney or experienced legal professional to join its commercial team as a Paralegal/Commercial Legal Assistant. This position offers meaningful exposure to U.S. legal processes while providing substantive support to seasoned attorneys on complex commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the commercial team with drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and related documentation.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client outcomes.
• Collaborate with attorneys on client communications, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Maintain and organize legal documents and case files for timely access.
• Work within commercial pods to support cross‑functional projects and ensure seamless operations.
• Perform additional administrative tasks to enhance team efficiency.

Required profile

• Law degree with a solid foundation in legal principles.
• Prior legal experience, preferably with exposure to commercial law.
• Comfortable applying legal education in a paralegal capacity without U.S. bar admission.
• Ability to work under the direction of firm attorneys in a fast‑paced environment.
