Paid Leaves Attorney (Hybrid, Multiple Offices)

About the role

Littler Mendelson is expanding its Paid Leave Practice and seeks a labor and employment attorney with three or more years of experience. The hybrid position can be based in any Littler office and will provide day‑to‑day counsel to employers on state and local paid‑leave statutes.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on paid sick leave, paid time off, family and medical leave, and related accommodation obligations across multiple states.
• Draft, review, and update leave and accommodation policies to ensure compliance.
• Assist clients during agency audits, investigations, and administrative complaints.
• Guide employers through multi‑state compliance issues and intersecting wage‑and‑hour matters.

Required profile

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and able to obtain additional licenses as needed.
• Strong academic credentials with excellent legal research and writing abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, with superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated learner who stays current on evolving paid‑leave laws and can translate complex requirements into practical advice.
• Comfortable leveraging AI‑driven and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency.
