Outreach Coordinator – State Based Exchange

About the role

The Outreach Coordinator will support the Insurance Department of the State of Georgia by planning and executing community outreach initiatives across the state. Reporting to the Outreach Supervisor, the role focuses on raising awareness of Georgia Access and building strategic relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a statewide community outreach plan in collaboration with the Communications Supervisor.
• Coordinate vendor activities and supervise the delivery of outreach services.
• Create public education materials, presentations, newsletters, media content, and website updates.
• Organize and participate in outreach events to inform the public about Georgia Access resources.
• Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and manage a database of contacts and issues.
• Respond to public inquiries, update the Outreach Supervisor on community concerns, and cultivate relationships with the public.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of communications or related experience (or one year at the lower Communications Spec 2 level).
