Operations Technician

About the role

3M is seeking an Operations Technician to lead water quality stewardship and ensure reliable water treatment operations at its Cottage Grove facility. You will work with innovative teams worldwide, applying the latest technologies to support safe and compliant water processing.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility in water quality stewardship.
• Implement and maintain robust water treatment operations using advanced equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and contractors to solve problems and drive improvement projects.
• Support operational excellence through standardization, documentation, data analysis, training, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Be on‑call to resolve urgent operational issues.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (verified before start).
• Minimum 7 years of utilities or water systems experience.
• At least 3 years of wastewater treatment experience.
• Willingness to be on‑call for urgent issues.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, strong problem‑solving, project management, and teamwork abilities.
