Occupational Therapy Assistant – Rehab Department

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a full‑time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join its Rehabilitation Department in Colby, KS. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients achieve functional goals across daily life activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care and implement therapeutic procedures as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Document patient conditions, responses, and progress in accordance with professional standards.
• Assist with communication between the Occupational Therapist, physicians, staff, and families regarding patient status.
• Maintain and adapt equipment to meet patient needs and ensure it is in proper working order.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and eligible for Kansas licensure.
• Current license with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to follow standards of practice and regulatory guidelines.
