Occupational Health Nurse

About the role

Join 3M as an Occupational Health Nurse and work directly with employees to promote health, safety, and well‑being at our Prairie Du Chien manufacturing site. You will provide clinical care, manage cases, and lead health‑promotion initiatives while collaborating with global 3M teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct care for work‑related injuries and illnesses and refer to community providers when needed.
• Lead case and care‑management planning, including return‑to‑work and disability management.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate medical surveillance and fitness‑for‑duty programs.
• Develop and deliver health and well‑being initiatives, including immunization programs.
• Document medical encounters in electronic systems while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience in a private, public, government or military setting.
• At least two years of experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of occupational hearing conservation and NIOSH spirometry testing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
• Understanding of disability management, ergonomics, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA, and Workers’ Compensation regulations.
