Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Mobile Wound Care

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will join Bellaire Wound Care’s mobile team, delivering comprehensive wound‑care services to patients in their homes, assisted‑living facilities, or other care settings across the DFW area, San Antonio, Houston, and Atlanta. Working under the supervision of physicians, the clinician will assess, treat, and monitor chronic and acute wounds while promoting patient comfort and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough wound assessments and document findings.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans, including debridement, dressing selection, and infection control.
• Educate patients, families, and facility staff on wound‑care techniques and prevention strategies.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with regulatory and infection‑control standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the relevant state.
• Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in wound assessment, debridement, dressing selection, and infection recognition.
• Strong documentation, clinical reasoning, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and patient‑education skills.
• Ability to work independently in mobile settings and adapt to varied care environments.
