Nurse Instructor – Teaching & Clinical Education

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks Nurse Instructors to teach and supervise nursing students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. Positions are available full‑time, part‑time, and adjunct across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Create learning environments that achieve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes.
• Assess and evaluate student performance using diverse strategies.
• Design curricula reflecting current health‑care trends and program outcomes.
• Serve as a change agent, leading improvements in nursing education.
• Participate in scholarship, policy formulation, budgeting, and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing (or actively enrolled) from an ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in a specialized area.
• RN license (Pennsylvania) – PA license required upon hire.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to lifelong learning.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
• Familiarity with advanced educational technologies and course management systems.
• Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or NLN membership preferred.
