Nurse Instructor

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Nurse Instructor to teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings. This position contributes to the professional development of future nurses and supports the research and development of the educational program.

Key responsibilities

• Create an environment in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings that facilitates student learning and achievement of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor outcomes.
• Use a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate student learning across settings.
• Formulate program outcomes and design curricula that reflect contemporary health‑care trends.
• Act as a change agent and leader to advance nursing education and practice.

Required profile

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (or actively enrolled) from an ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a specialized area.
• RN license (State of Pennsylvania) and/or PA license (State of Pennsylvania) upon hire.
• Demonstrated integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction.

Required skills

• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
• Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and NLN certification preferred.
• Experience with advanced technologies used to deliver or evaluate educational experiences, such as course management systems.
