About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join Cleveland Clinic's Hematology and Oncology Department, providing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and other cancer treatments while participating in a structured residency curriculum.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care on oncology units under the guidance of a success coach.
Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
Prioritize patient care based on acuity, patient preferences, and resource availability.
Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.

Required profile

Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
Completion of ONS Chemo/Bio course within two years of hire for units where chemotherapy is administered.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing practices.
