New Grad RN Resident – Urology

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident position on the G90 Urology/Medical‑Surgical Telemetry unit provides a fast‑paced environment where recent nursing graduates gain hands‑on experience caring for patients recovering from complex urologic surgeries. You will work alongside a supportive team, a success coach, and an approachable leader to develop clinical expertise from admission through discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care while collaborating with a success coach and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in the one‑year accredited Nurse Residency curriculum, including online modules, simulation labs, and hands‑on training.
• Assess patient acuity, prioritize care, and respond to clinical data indicating risk.
• Document care accurately in patient medical records and communicate with patients, families, and visitors.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
