New Grad RN Resident – Trauma Intensive Care Unit

About the role

The Trauma Intensive Care Unit is a brand‑new 14‑bed ICU providing post‑resuscitation care for patients with complex traumatic injuries. As a New Graduate RN Resident you will start your nursing career in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment while building a strong foundation in critical care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill trauma patients under the guidance of experienced nurses and a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum, including online modules, simulation labs, and hands‑on training.
• Assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Document care accurately in patients’ medical records and respond to data indicating risk to patient health.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within the first year.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute direct patient care experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current RN licensure.
