New Grad RN Resident – Neurosciences

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the H60 Neurosciences Nursing Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, providing care for complex neurological patients. This one‑year accredited residency offers hands‑on training, simulation labs, and mentorship to develop advanced neuro‑nursing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients with stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain and spine tumors, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum, case studies, operating‑room observations, and weekly progress meetings.
• Assist with complex procedures such as craniotomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, deep brain stimulation, spinal surgeries, and shunt placements.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform neurological assessments and document patient care accurately.
