About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the M63 Metabolic Surgery Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, providing post‑operative care for bariatric surgery patients. This full‑time position rotates between day and night shifts on a 7 am‑7 pm / 7 pm‑7 am schedule.

Key responsibilities

Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
Deliver direct nursing care alongside a success coach, adhering to unit policies and protocols.
Prioritize patient care based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
Identify and act on data indicating patient risk to ensure safety.
Document all care activities accurately in the electronic medical record.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience (BSN preferred).

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
