Neuromuscular Neurologist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Neuromuscular Neurologist to join its clinical staff in New Orleans. The physician will provide comprehensive neurological care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold Ochsner’s core values of patient‑first service, integrity, compassion, inclusivity, teamwork, and excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose clinical conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record.
• Order additional medical evaluations, make referrals, and ensure proper coding of all visits.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, credentialing standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• Board certified or eligible in Neurology (or related primary specialty).
• Licensed MD/DO with a current practicing provider license.
• Willingness to maintain an active clinical practice and adhere to professional standards.
