Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse for its Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This 17‑bed unit provides state‑of‑the‑art care for newborns with complex medical needs and supports high‑risk pregnancies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonates and high‑risk mothers.
• Implement, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Record, document, and communicate patient conditions accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience in a hospital setting (or equivalent military RN experience).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for critical‑care areas (or obtain within first year).
• Ability to administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform neonatal assessments.
