National Account Manager – 3PL

About the role

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a high‑performing National Account Manager to grow its 3PL business across the Western and Central United States. The role focuses on managing key national accounts, driving revenue, and identifying new opportunities while supporting existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily cold‑call outreach, prospecting and follow‑up via phone, email and messaging services.
• Prepare and present detailed reports, rate proposals, tender packages and sales leads.
• Travel up to 12 days per month across assigned territories in Canada and the Western U.S. to service high‑volume accounts (>$250,000 annual revenue).
• Negotiate major contracts, including rate proposals, equipment and financial terms.
• Monitor customer and competitor activity, recommending packaging improvements and cost‑saving solutions.
• Manage a portfolio of 100‑150 accounts generating $10‑15 million in gross revenue.

Required profile

• 5+ years of sales or related experience in logistics, transportation or 3PL services.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and gross‑margin targets.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 12 days/month).
