N1 Photo Equipment Technician

About the role

NXP is hiring an N1 Photo Equipment Technician in Austin to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the ATMC Photolithography Equipment area. The role covers maintaining, repairing, upgrading and monitoring wafer fabrication equipment, including troubleshooting and repair of specific lithography tools.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, upgrade and monitor wafer fabrication equipment, including troubleshooting and repair for AMSL TWINSCAN, ASML 5500, TELACT8, LITHIUS and LITHIUS PROZ
• Handle electrical/electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes and other activities supporting the area's success
• Complete documentation and train others on equipment maintenance
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and interact with Operations and Engineering personnel

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry; an AA degree in Electronics or a related discipline with 5 years of technical maintenance experience may also be acceptable
• At least 5 years of experience in the photolithography area
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and occasionally stoop or crawl in confined spaces
• Able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds

Required skills

• Solid understanding of SPC and FDC, and ability to use them to improve equipment performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interface with internal and external groups to meet safety, performance and reliability requirements
