MRI Technologist I – Neuro Expansion

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is expanding its state‑of‑the‑art facility and seeks an MRI Technologist I to support neuro imaging and other clinical areas. This full‑time evening position (2:30 pm‑11:00 pm) offers a collaborative environment with opportunities across multiple specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient questionnaires, charts and requisitions to identify MRI contraindications.
• Perform MRI examinations according to protocol and conduct daily quality‑assurance checks.
• Educate patients on MRI procedures, ensure their comfort and safety, and monitor them during and after scans.
• Report equipment malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and maintain high equipment uptime.
• Mentor new hires and radiology students and attend in‑service and professional sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT credential (MRI, Radiography, Sonography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathology.
• Ability to obtain MRI certification (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) within one year if not already credentialed.

• Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) proficiency.
