Motor Rewind/Winder Technician

About the role

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, provides world‑class service, repair and re‑manufacturing for electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components. The role focuses on completely winding induction motors and servomotors.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect motors for physical damage, missing parts, leaks and other defects.
• Disassemble motors, remove old windings, and document winding data.
• Repair or modify motor cores to meet specifications.
• Size and wind coils, perform wire insertion, wedging and tying.
• Use torches, grinders, hydraulic and mechanical pullers for disassembly and repair.
• Perform drilling, tapping, deburring and surface conditioning with manual tools.
• Dip and bake windings, operating overhead cranes, varnish tanks and ovens.
• Document final electrical and mechanical test results and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and follow leadership priorities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; formal training in industrial technology or mechanics preferred.
• At least two years of motor winding experience (five years preferred).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for most of the workday.
• Basic computer skills with Windows, web browsing and email.
