Weld Repair Technician

About the role

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, is seeking a Weld Repair Technician to service and refurbish non‑automated and robotic welding equipment. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, and testing of welders from major manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair non‑automated and robotic welders, including Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric models.
• Perform teardown, evaluation, cleaning, and testing of welders.
• Document evaluation notes and collaborate with the group leader to estimate repair costs.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Create and document test procedures for repaired equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the weld room and workbench.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel to training centers for certification.
• Ability to work independently and stay on task.
• Good organizational and housekeeping skills.
• Basic computer proficiency with email and Office applications.

Required skills

• Repair of Lincoln Electric and Miller Electric welding equipment.
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Creation of test procedures for welding systems.
• Basic computer/Office application skills.
• Willingness to obtain hi‑lo/crane certification.
