Auto Technician / Mechanic / Licensed State Inspector

About the role

Monro, Inc., a family of automotive service and tire dealer brands, is hiring a full-time Auto Technician / Mechanic / Licensed State Inspector in its District 22 location in Warren. The technician performs repairs and maintenance on vehicles, secures customer approval after diagnosis, and works alongside teammates, including providing leadership to General Service Technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance and other automotive repairs and maintenance within your qualification.
• Obtain customer approval for the work after diagnosis and keep the work area clean and neat.
• Carry out thorough vehicle inspections on every vehicle serviced and complete the associated repairs and maintenance.
• Test drive guest vehicles and use the shop truck safely to pick up inventory when needed.
• Collaborate with teammates and lead General Service Technicians.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team focused mindset and customer service skills.

Required skills

• Basic set of automotive tools, or participation in a tool purchase program.
• Licensed State Inspector (MO).

What we offer

• Hourly guarantee of $15.00 - $16.00, with flat-rate pay of $22.00 - $28.00 depending on experience.
