Motor Rewind & Winder Technician

About the role

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, seeks a Motor Rewind & Winder Technician to service, repair and re‑manufacture motors and related components for a range of industrial applications. The role involves inspecting, disassembling, rewinding, testing and documenting motor assemblies to meet quality and technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and components for physical damage, missing parts, leaks, and other defects.
• Disassemble motors, remove old winding, mark parts and document wear or damage.
• Size and wind coils, perform proper wire insertion, wedging and tying.
• Operate torches, grinders, hydraulic and mechanical pullers, as well as drills, taps and deburrers for repair work.
• Dip rewound motors into varnish tanks, bake them in ovens, and clean finishes.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing of winding, insulation and connections, recording results.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while following leadership‑set priorities.
