Mission Operations Operator – Autonomous Surface Vessels

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Mission Operations Operator to lead the planning, execution, and training of its Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) fleet. You will work directly with autonomous surface platforms that conduct ISR, electronic warfare, and other mission payloads in open‑ocean and contested littoral environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end‑to‑end MUSV missions across GPS‑denied and communications‑degraded waters.
• Serve as primary operator during field operations, making real‑time go/no‑go decisions.
• Use Saronic’s Echelon™ mission planning interface and Advanced Mission Planner (AMP™) to program complex autonomous behaviors.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, mission playbooks, and contingency procedures.
• Train and qualify military personnel on MUSV operations, navigation, and payload handling.
• Coordinate waterspace deconfliction, safety‑boat integration, and range‑safety compliance.
• Provide feedback to product teams to shape future vessel capabilities.

Required profile

• Extensive maritime operational experience, preferably in military or security contexts.
• Hands‑on familiarity with autonomous systems and remote‑vehicle operation.
• Ability to communicate clearly in both field and briefing‑room settings.
• Strong decision‑making skills under pressure.
