Millwright – Maintenance Team Member

About the role

The Millwright will join a high‑performance maintenance team to provide quality operational repairs and preventative maintenance for all mill machinery. This role involves hands‑on work with production equipment in a lumber manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, rebuild, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers, chains, bearings and hydraulics.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and lubricate machinery, read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and schematics for assembly and repairs.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation and repair.
• Inspect equipment, follow preventative maintenance procedures, and perform corrective maintenance per the program.
• Assist mechanics and electricians, participate in shop clean‑up, and comply with parts acquisition procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Millwright certification.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems; JDE experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of lumber manufacturing processes and equipment.

Required skills

• Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics.
• Hydraulic systems troubleshooting.
• Use of CMMS and basic JDE functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Operation of hoisting and lifting equipment.
