Middle School Science Teacher

About the role

Kearsley Community Schools is seeking a highly qualified Science Educator to teach middle‑school students. The position is full‑time and offers a salary commensurate with experience under the KEA Master Agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative, engaging lesson plans that incorporate practical applications of science content.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner and utilize progressive classroom‑based interventions.
• Monitor and evaluate student development through a variety of assessments and maintain accurate classroom records.
• Assist in research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Science curriculum.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Michigan Teaching Certificate with a science endorsement (e.g., Integrated Science, Physical Science, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or all‑subjects middle level).
• Proficiency with technology and willingness to adopt emergent instructional techniques.

Required skills

• Creative instructional strategies that promote interactive learning.
• Ability to incorporate technology, literature, and writing into science instruction.
