Mid-Level DevOps Engineer (Top Secret Clearance)

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level DevOps Engineer to join our cybersecurity team in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining secure DevSecOps infrastructure for critical defense projects, and requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, test, and certify DevSecOps tools and their dependencies across multiple environments.
• Serve as the primary Operations & Maintenance engineer for infrastructure services.
• Utilize IaaS platforms (AWS) to provision scalable, secure services.
• Configure and manage Red Hat Linux servers supporting web and backend applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot cluster‑based computing architectures.
• Automate operational tasks using Python scripting.
• Install, configure, and maintain open‑source monitoring and performance tools.
• Ensure systems comply with cybersecurity standards and RMF requirements.
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux (Red Hat), AWS, Docker, ALB, Terraform, CloudFormation, Databricks, AWS Redis, Springboot, and PKI.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and AWS DevOps Engineer – Associate are a plus.
