Merchandising Internship – Fall 2026 (NYC)

About the role

Purplebrand is looking for a motivated Merchandising Intern to join its New York office for the Fall 2026 semester. The role offers hands‑on exposure to seasonal assortment planning, product analysis, wholesale market preparation, and core merchandising processes within a fast‑moving denim and streetwear brand.

Key responsibilities

• Support seasonal line planning by analyzing SKU, fit, color, classification, breadth, depth, and pricing.
• Pull weekly sales and inventory reports, evaluate performance by style, fit, color, account, and channel, and identify sell‑through, stock‑to‑sales, replenishment and markdown opportunities.
• Assist in preparing market appointments and line reviews, organize selling tools for the sales team, and contribute to post‑market order analysis.
• Maintain product samples, update internal product information, and help produce merchandising presentations and projects.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for academic credit.
• Available to work on‑site in New York 3–4 days per week from September 2026 to January 2027.
• Curious about the “why” behind product decisions and passionate about denim, contemporary fashion, and streetwear.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (MS Office Suite).
