About the role
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is hiring a Medical Director to lead psychiatry services at the Chester Mental Health Center. This senior position requires full‑line supervision and strategic oversight of all ancillary medical services.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as Medical Director and full‑line supervisor for the Chester Mental Health Center.
- Develop, plan, and monitor implementation of ancillary services such as dentistry, optometry, EEG and contractual medical services.
- Design and enforce policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Required profile
- Illinois Physician and Surgeon License with a specialty in Psychiatry.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Ability to provide medical leadership and oversight for a state mental health facility.
