Medical Assistant – Primary Care Clinic – Full Time

About the role

This position provides individualized medical care to assigned patients in person, electronically, and via telephone under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. The Medical Assistant supports patients and providers throughout the visit, ensuring efficient flow and high-quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Support the patient and provider throughout the visit, preparing both for the appointment.
• Answer patient questions, complete documentation, and handle patient registration as needed.
• Maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, and credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Communicate effectively by phone and in person to meet patient needs promptly.
• Adapt behavior to respect patient privacy and tailor explanations to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; preferred completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
