About the role

This full‑time position supports an oncology clinic by providing individualized medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. The role involves direct patient interaction, documentation, and coordination with the attending physician.

Key responsibilities

• Support patients and providers throughout each visit, ensuring preparation and answering questions before discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including patient registration and clinical notes.
• Communicate effectively by phone and in person to meet patient needs promptly.
• Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy and cultural preferences.
• Comply with departmental policies, including drug testing and safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED; formal medical assistant training preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining professional conduct.

Required skills

• Medical Assistant Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
