About the role

The Medical Assistant will join Cleveland Clinic's Infectious Disease outpatient team on the Main Campus. You will work Monday through Friday, providing direct patient care, supporting clinical staff, and handling administrative duties in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

Assist with screenings, treatments, specimen collection, and documentation of patient care.
Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, and support medication management.
Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or equivalent military medical training (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
