About the role

The Medical Assistant will support the Diabetes Center at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus, providing a welcoming environment for patients, families, and visitors while assisting clinical and administrative staff.

Key responsibilities

Assist with screenings, treatments, medication updates, allergy information, specimen collection, and documentation of patient care.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program.
Completion of a clinical externship (or extensive clinical experience).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross (within new‑hire period).
Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.

Required skills

Medical Assisting Certification (preferred).
Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship (preferred).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
