Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor)

About the role

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role supporting The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The associate performs in-home measure appointments, provides accurate measurements, calculations and quote reviews, and coordinates installations within the Measurement Services center. The position reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager and covers a pre-defined geographical area, though it may also support company locations.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible (about 60% of time).
• Ask customers open-ended questions about their projects and product needs, describe product features and project steps, and identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs (about 35% of time).
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors and managers on other work activities (about 4%).
• Follow policies and procedures and adhere to the work schedule (about 1%).
• Work with company-issued devices and travel between locations.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Reliable transportation; travel between locations is required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk and lift or carry material of moderate weight (8-20 pounds); conditions are indoors and may cause mild discomfort occasionally.

Pay range: $19.75 - $24.00.
