Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician (Full-Time Academic)

About the role

Ochsner Health and LSU Health Shreveport are seeking a board‑certified/eligible Maternal‑Fetal Medicine physician to join a growing academic practice. The position offers a consultative‑only model, allowing you to focus on high‑risk pregnancy care while contributing to education and research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultative outpatient care for pregnant patients with high‑risk conditions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews with neonatology, pediatric cardiology and other subspecialists.
• Serve as an educator and mentor for OB/GYN residents and fellows in the academic program.
• Lead clinical research initiatives and innovative projects within the North Louisiana region.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine.
• Experience managing complex pregnancy complications in a consultative‑only practice model.
• Commitment to academic teaching, research and collaborative patient care.
• Ability to develop relationships with patients and families across a tri‑state referral network.
