Materials Dispatcher

About the role

The Materials Dispatcher ensures that inventory locations are clean, organized, and stocked to support manufacturing operations. You will work closely with supervisors, expeditors, and material handlers to maintain product flow and resolve inventory issues. This position also involves handling special projects and maintaining accurate records in the M3 system.

Key responsibilities

• Review work‑center dispatch reports and issue travelers for manufacturing orders.
• Distribute manufacturing orders to material handlers for pulling and issuing materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and discrepancy investigations.
• Set up and label inventory locations with bar‑code labels and handheld scanners.
• Assist with scheduling, moving material to equipment, and staging material as needed.
• Partner with supervisors or expeditors to ensure smooth product flow.
• Operate a forklift to move material between locations.
• Use the M3 ERP system to track and manage material movements.

Required profile

• Licensed forklift operator.
• Strong attention to inventory accuracy and detail.
• Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Barcode labeling and handheld scanner usage.
• Proficiency with the M3 ERP system.
• Inventory management and cycle‑count procedures.
