Master Carpenter

About the role

Diversified Construction & Design is seeking a Master Carpenter to join its Architectural team. The role involves installing wooden structures, designing and fabricating cabinets, and supervising junior carpenters.

Key responsibilities

• Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.
• Design, fabricate, and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.
• Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.
• Select lumber and calculate material and fastener needs.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to ensure work meets specifications and code requirements.
• Mentor and supervise less experienced carpenters, inspecting work to ensure quality craftsmanship.

Required profile

• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Good understanding of basic math.
• Good physical condition and endurance.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive company image to vendors and customers.

Required skills

• Carpentry techniques, materials, and methods.
• Reading blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Selecting lumber and calculating material and fastener requirements.
