Maritime East Leader

About the role

WSP is seeking a Maritime East Leader to drive business development and project delivery for ports and marine facilities along the U.S. East Coast, from Maine to South Florida. Reporting to the National Maritime Leader, you will shape the regional practice, build client relationships, and oversee complex greenfield and brownfield projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead capture planning, pursuit, and development of maritime project opportunities.
• Write and manage technical and commercial proposals, pricing, and budgets.
• Develop and expand the client base across public authorities, terminal operators, and government agencies.
• Negotiate contracts, present proposals, and conduct client meetings.
• Define and execute the long‑term growth strategy and pipeline for East Coast maritime work.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of technical staff to deliver design, upgrade, and planning services.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading ports and maritime projects, including both greenfield and brownfield terminals.
• Strong track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to write winning technical and commercial proposals.
• Leadership experience with responsibility for project profitability and performance.
• Deep understanding of engineering, design, and construction regulations for maritime facilities.
