Manufacturing Engineering Technician

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the production of autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). The role focuses on executing, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing processes while collaborating with engineering, production, and supplier teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setup, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes for ASV production.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve workflow efficiency.
• Provide feedback on tooling, fixtures, and equipment performance.
• Translate design specifications into practical manufacturing steps.
• Coordinate with suppliers for parts, materials, and consumables.
• Investigate and document production issues, assist in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct time‑studies and suggest continuous‑improvement actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Train production staff on equipment use and serve as first‑line troubleshooting support.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience as a manufacturing technician in a complex electromechanical environment.
• Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime technologies is a plus.
• Strong understanding of shop‑floor practices, process documentation, and quality control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow standard operating procedures.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving skills with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
