Manager Trainee - Operational Strength Program

About the role

Avis Budget Group is recruiting trainees for its Operational Strength Program (OSP), starting January 2027. The program is designed for ambitious, high-potential leaders who want to become Operations Managers in a Fortune 500 company. It is a full-time, 12-month immersive journey combining structured learning, functional rotations, hands-on experience and mentorship from senior leaders, with a cohort of peers from across the country.

The program is based on-site and requires regular presence; it is not remote. After the initial eight-week training, participants must relocate to a location chosen by the company, anywhere in the United States, to continue their development.

Required profile

• 2- or 4-year college degree, or 4 years of military service
• Willingness and ability to relocate anywhere in the United States after the first 8 weeks
• Experience as a team member or team leader (e.g., sports, clubs, military)
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Strong leadership potential, resilience and a solutions-focused mindset
• Ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Regular, on-site presence
• Extra points: at least one year of customer service experience with a strong work ethic
