Manager, Supply Chain Services

About the role

Hope Gas is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Services to lead purchasing, vendor relations, inventory, and material management for its utility operations. The role partners with business units, legal, and vendors to ensure material availability, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct purchasing, requisition, and purchase‑order processes, ensuring timely fulfillment of business‑unit needs.
• Establish and maintain inventory controls, minimum/maximum levels, and accountability for both inventory and non‑inventory items.
• Coordinate supplier selection, negotiations, onboarding, pricing, delivery, quality, and contract terms.
• Serve as primary liaison between business units, the Legal Department, and vendors to finalize contracts and manage risk.
• Monitor material availability, inventory counts, supplier performance, and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve logistics, warehousing, and inventory‑turnover practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain management, business administration, logistics or related field (or equivalent experience with high‑school diploma and 11 years experience).
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, supply‑chain or logistics, including a minimum of 5 years in people‑leadership roles.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SAP for procurement and inventory management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using OnBase document‑management system.
• Familiarity with Novara purchasing platform.
