McDonald’s is looking for a senior social media leader to shape the brand’s presence across all digital platforms. This role sits at the intersection of social strategy, cultural intelligence, and brand storytelling, driving the conversation that places McDonald’s at the heart of popular culture.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead social strategy for the company’s highest‑priority campaigns, setting the vision for platform presence.
• Act as the social authority within the integrated marketing team, ensuring social drives campaign thinking from inception.
• Own creator‑driven marketing campaigns end‑to‑end, from talent identification and vetting to execution and advocacy.
• Direct the creative vision for paid media tactics and branded content across social channels.
• Champion creative excellence by pushing agencies and cross‑functional partners toward innovative, never‑done‑before ideas.
• Develop fan‑focused creative platforms and adapt content for multicultural Gen Z audiences with authentic storytelling.
• Partner with marketing strategy to align social initiatives with business goals and own performance measurement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading social strategy for large, culturally impactful campaigns.
• Deep understanding of cultural trends, creator ecosystems, and brand storytelling.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and agencies to deliver breakthrough creative work.
• Strong analytical mindset to measure and optimize social performance.
