Manager, Safety and Security

About the role

The Market Safety and Security Manager leads the execution of Breakthru’s safety strategy at the market level, turning corporate programs into practical processes that protect associates and prevent workplace injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead injury and incident prevention programs, including monthly safety committee meetings and root‑cause analyses.
• Oversee security systems, vendor performance, and loss‑prevention initiatives across warehouse, delivery, sales and merchandising functions.
• Manage OSHA, DOT and EPA compliance programs, maintain accurate logs, and prepare for regulatory audits.
• Conduct regular safety walks, observations and training to proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in an industrial, warehouse or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated success implementing OSHA‑compliant injury prevention programs.
• Ability to lead through a matrix structure and influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and presentation software.
• Experience with OSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory requirements.
