Manager, Principal & Major Gifts Operations

About the role

The Manager, Principal & Major Gifts Operations leads the operational backbone of MSF USA’s Principal and Major Gifts team. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role ensures data quality, prospect management discipline, and day‑to‑day efficiency for fundraisers handling high‑value donor portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement operational processes that improve efficiency, accountability, and donor stewardship.
• Maintain and enhance data quality, reporting, and performance visibility for the gifts team.
• Supervise operational support staff, providing training, documentation, and capability building.
• Partner with Data Analytics, Donor Services, Finance, and Integrated Channel Marketing to align systems and workflows.
• Support frontline fundraisers with tools, information, and processes needed to manage donor relationships effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operational functions within a fundraising or development environment.
• Strong understanding of donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship practices.
• Ability to lead and develop a small operational team.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional partners.
