Manager of Social Services

About the role

The Manager of Social Services leads strategic planning, direction, and operations for the Social Service component of the Care Management department. This role creates innovative social service solutions to ensure quality outcomes, achieve shared savings, meet quality metrics, and reduce cost/utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the Social Services budget, ensuring financial accountability.
• Manage, develop, retain, and inspire an engaged workforce within the department.
• Drive quality of care and patient satisfaction through unit‑specific systems and continuous improvement.
• Support long‑term strategic business plans with department‑specific planning and special projects.
• Oversee physical and technological infrastructure and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with research, education, and training initiatives to advance cutting‑edge patient care.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a healthcare or social service setting, including at least 2 years in supervision or management.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification.
• Preferred case management certification (e.g., CCM, ACM, CMAC).
