Manager of Applied AI Architecture, Commercial

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Applied AI Architecture for its Commercial segment. You will lead a team of technical architects who help mid‑market and SMB customers adopt Anthropic’s AI products such as the Claude API, Claude Code, the Agent SDK, and Claude for Enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and grow a team of Commercial Applied AI Architects, setting high standards for technical credibility and customer impact.
• Own hiring, define the architect profile, run interview loops, and design onboarding that accelerates customer engagement.
• Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide clear, direct feedback to develop each architect’s career.
• Define the qualification and prioritization framework for AI engagements across a large book of accounts, and make strategic decisions on where to invest technical resources.
• Work side‑by‑side with architects on high‑impact engagements, from discovery through deployment and expansion.

Required profile

• Proven builder credibility and strong technical judgment in AI or related fields.
• Hands‑on experience delivering prototypes, evaluation frameworks, or near‑production code for customers.
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and partnering with commercial sales leadership.
• Ability to dive deep into complex technical problems alongside team members.
