Manager, Fulfillment Strategy

About the role

The Manager of Merchandise Planning, HDD is responsible for executing assortment reviews and analyzing online programs and trends. The role drives promotion, pricing and profitability analytics and gives store-side merchandising the insights needed to grow total market share. It involves analyzing data, producing key reports and working with Direct Fulfillment Merchants to find opportunities across departments. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Merchandise Planning, homedepot.com, and has six direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Drive consistent category-level strategy planning with merchants: coordinate data from store and online systems and from key competitors, develop project templates and report results concisely for online and store merchants (40%)
• Create and run KPI reporting, ensuring accurate data collection and highlighting key insights for decision making (30%)
• Manage the execution of key programs and new online initiatives (20%)
• Partner with Supply Chain, Core Merchandising, Vendor Compliance and Inventory Management to deliver solutions usable across all areas (10%)

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job
• 3 years of work experience preferred
• Preferred: MBA, online and/or retail store experience, financial planning and analysis experience, and leadership experience

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills to retrieve, manipulate, analyze and interpret data
• MS Office, MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and statistical software
• Strong strategic thinking, quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, general management skills and ability to influence others
